Action thriller Runway 34 directed by Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan failed to make a good opening according to early estimates. The film opened in between Rs. 3 crore to 3.5 crore on the first day at Indian Box Office, with most of its business coming from multiplexes despite possessing an occupancy rate of 15% only at premiere cinemas (average movie going experience). Other movies that made opening days revenue of similar or less were Satyameva Jayate 2, Chandigarh Kare Aashqiui and last weeks release Jersey – all three respectively earning less than Runway 34. It is shocking how this…
Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 has started off with a slow take-off according to early estimations; especially at smaller theaters located outside of the country. The film earned ̃7.5-8 million rupees during its first day, which was less than anticipated by most in the entertainment industry. Surprisingly, the film managed to impress audiences at major chains such as PVR, Inox and Cinepolis who are usually only interested in international films despite being located within India itself–a country often considered for their cinema tastes. The expected trend was for lower earnings from small theaters and single screen theaters since many are known…
A Marathi Historical Film, Sher Shivraj directed by Digpal Lanjekar released last week. Despite being a regional language release, it did decently well at the box office. Released in only one state of India – Maharashtra – this film has been doing pretty well for itself considering it garnered Rs. 3 crores (3 million) so far and is distributed through multiple chains like PVR, Inox and Cinepolis. It was hard to get this movie out nationally because there are no dubbed versions of it but now we see why movies with subtitles are great! Considering they’ve done pretty well already…
Just a few days ago, Bollywood Hungama wrote about the successful performance of Yash starrer KGF- Chapter 2 at the box office. With one week gone by since its release, it is still managing to hold up against newer releases and rake in good earnings from ticket sales. In this report, we will analyse some aspects of how well KGF-Chapter 2 has performed so far and what might be coming next for the film. Crosses Rs. 50 cr: Being one of the most anticipated films, acclaimed by critics and fans alike; it was no surprise when KGF – Chapter 2…
With only six days left before it completes one month at China’s Box Office, Drishyam – starring Ajay Devgan has managed to touch $2.15 million ( Rs 16.5 crore). However unlike previous Indian films which had successfully managed to create waves in the Chinese cinemas, this Ajay Devgan starrer was never favored by the distributors since it came out on July 29th amidst stringent restrictions due to lower footfalls of cinema goers during the onset of summer vacations or shutdown for special events like Qingming Festival (Tomb Sweeping Festival) or WWII anniversary remembrances etc., brought about owing to the emergence…
A while ago, there were talks about Ajay Devgn’s latest movie Drishyam being released in China. It received a warmer welcome than any other Indian movie previously though when it opened up to poor reviews; people said it could’ve been due to the recent breakout of Covid-19 which caused some sectors of China’s market to shut down for weeks now. On its second week run, however, there has been an increase in revenue from the Chinese box office. Collecting USD 770,000 [Rs. 5.89 cr.] on its second weekend running, the business of the film has seen an increase of 45%…
The Ajay Devgn Starrer Drishyam released 20 days ago at the China Box Office. However, despite only seeing a modest response from viewers it has managed to rake up $3.37million (Rs 25.79cr) after two weeks of release at the Chinese Box Office -a feat most films would kill for given circumstances. Different movie theaters were recently closed due to an infectious disease which has sparked fears across regions in the country; and with such events during turbulent times it isn’t surprising that Bollywood films are experiencing poor responses overseas in general. What remains unseen is how long will these policies…
Ajay Devgan starred in the Indian film Drishyam which recently released at China theaters. During its first few days it showed lower revenue than predicted but has since seen some incremental success. In contrast to other recent Indian movies, the Hollywood motion picture didn’t perform well from the beginning because most moviegoers are currently enjoying their weekends with friends and family members instead of watching DVDs or visiting movie theaters. Additionally Drishyam’s distributor failed to secure prime venues for screening unlike others that were able to do so in advance or soon after opening day — a decision many experts…
The Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam opened at the Chinese box office 21 days ago, but it has seen little change in business since then. Apparently unlike other Bollywood films that have made a mark here before it, Drishyam’s popularity didn’t gain much traction. But fortunately – even though things aren’t going so well-Drishyam has managed to make a cumulative amount of $1,814,014 ($1.37 crore). Whereas many filmmakers have reported growing turbulence in China due to the recent outbreak of covidirus_ and sections of society are quarantined; this isn’t stopping Drishyam from getting on with the work set out for them…
Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness is off to a phenomenal start in India according to early estimates. Estimated revenue stands at $28-30 million USD on the first day alone and although this is nowhere near other records such as Avengers: End Game or Avengers: Infinity War, this could easily change if current trends continue. Our screening estimation shows that nationwide attendance was fairly impressive with movies running smoothly across the south region where typically all Marvel films do well – but not only there! In north regions too ticket sales were exceptional high since despite higher tickets prices, these viewers…
