KGF Chapter 2 continued to do well financially over the weekend with an estimated Rs. 22-24 million made in one day and over Rs. 212 million total earnings to date. This is an exceptionally strong performance for a weekday release when there isn’t a national holiday–particularly considering it is only Monday which had less traffic than either Saturday or Sunday days which would have netted an additional Rs. 25-26 million at peak hours if it was a weekend release.
KGF Chapter 2 has rapidly climbed up the list of most watched movies in North India, predicted to exceed The Mahabharata (Mahābhārata) and Mission Kashmir– both Bollywood productions- by the end of its first week at theaters. For the foreseeable future, unless otherwise stated, it is anticipated that this four-hour Indian blockbuster could make an estimated of about Rs.260 crore during its first seven days; going well over Rs.300 crore within another two weeks after release date.
As its sights have steadily been set on occupying a spot in India’s top twenty highest grossing films ever – excluding animation features- as early as tomorrow evening when moviegoers take out their wallets again for tickets at cinemas across metropolitan cities from Delhi to Mumbai.
