The RRR directed by SS Rajamouli starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR along with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn was released a few months ago. The film received an excellent reception after its first screening, which lead to high interest for the movie among audiences. All-in-all, it took only four days for the movie to break all records; securing both achievements of crossing Rs. 100 cr and Rs. 200 cr in box office sales over this short period of time. As it stands now, two other movies were both competing for space on theaters against RRR – which is still managing to stay afloat on public attention nonetheless while they struggle under the burden of these new releases.
This box office report takes a look at the fourth-weekend collections of Raja Rani Roja while comparing it to other top movie releases that have made it this far. With earnings of Rs. 10.05 crore, RRR has managed to become the eighth all time highest fourth weekend grosser. In fact, the business on its fourth weekend surpassed that of previous releases like Stree which earned Rs. 9.28 crore, Padmaavat which earned Rs. 8.75 crore and even PK starring Aamir Khan which had earned just Rs. 8.65 crore
However, the business of the film does not manage to surpass the collections of other releases like Uri – The Surgical Strike (which earned Rs. 18.94 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (which earned Rs. 18.30 crore), Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior (which earned Rs. 13.53 crore), Chhichhore (which earned rs. 11.07 crore) and Kabir Singh which collected a mere Rs 10 cr) are doing well, currently yet seen numbers say that PTA Film Productions manages to earn around 15-20 crores with an average collection per week per theatre being in 4000-5000 seats, while another major release KGF: Chapter 1 featuring Yash is earning 40-50% more than this sum at 3500-4000 seats due to higher occupancy rate.
