After two weeks since its release, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam has made less than $1 million USD at the China box office. In contrast to other recent Bollywood movies that were quickly successful in this market, it is possible that there are many factors influencing how well the movie will do here. It might be hard for people who are not yet familiar with Indian movies or actors to watch one they’re unfamiliar with; or it could just be because they don’t want what we have available here. Now, on day fourteen of the movie Drishyam’s success has increased to USD…
This March, the Vivek Agnihotri directed The Kashmir Files was released to an eager audience. With Anupam Kher starring in it, the film started out slow but quickly became a phenomenon when it opened. In just one week after release, this movie had grossed over $100 million dollars at theaters worldwide. With a $339.49 million gross, The Kashmir Files is currently ranked as the highest worldwide box office performer of 2022 – topping recent high-grossers like Gangubai Kathiawadi ($196.86 million) and Bachchhan Paandey ($68.61 million). What’s more impressive? The Kashmir Files earns more than three times the grosses of Badhaai…
Recently, HEROPANTI 2 has garnered an astonishing response through its pre-booking process. It came as a complete shock to the Hindi film industry when they learned that ticket sales were highest in theaters with higher prices such as PVR, INOX and Cinepolis – despite the fact that these theaters represent only 17% of total screens in India. As per current reports, PVR, INOX and CINEPOLIS have accounted for nearly four crore rupees in revenue alone after twenty-four hours! Despite being a mass movie catered towards single screen audiences, it seems to have stimulated enough interest from multiplex patrons this time…
Yet another set of records have been broken. KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) is now the third highest Hindi grosser ever, what with its collections being just next to Baahubali: The Conclusion (Hindi) (Rs. 510.99 crores) and Dangal (Rs. 387.38 crores) now. The film currently stands at Rs. 343.13 crores and in just 14 days has gone past the lifetime score of Sanju (Rs. 342.53 crores), PK (Rs. 340 million dollars) and Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 338 million dollars). Collecting Rs.7.48 crores Tuesday, the film dropped from a high of Rs.6.25 crores on Wednesday and is expected to dip down…
The Shahid Kapoor starring Jersey that was first meant for release at the end of last year released only this week on Friday. It competed against other films such as the South Film’s Jersey staring Nani, with even KGF -Chapter 2 dominating it while taking over at the Box Office after opening two weekends ago. Now, reports suggest that Jersey has had a rather dismal first-day response in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Collecting USD 15,204 in Australia and USD 3,375 in New Zealand on its first day, the response to Jersey isn’t too promising for its second day…
Two movies released this Friday- Heropanti 2 and Runway 34. In fact, it’s great for the film industry because they are targeting entirely different audiences. The first movie is aimed towards lower middle class viewers in rural areas while the second one appeals to high society folk who visit upscale theaters across big cities. This ensures that all kinds of people are happy with what they’re watching, which benefits the entire Film Industry. Let’s talk about Heropanti 2 first. The film has been made surely during the pandemic and still boasts of big scale treatment, which is rather impressive. There…
After a slow start at the box office on Day 1, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey has shown impressive growth in collections from Rs. 3 to Rs. 3.25 crores today (Day 2) which bring the two day total near Rs. 6 crs., showing a phenomenal jump of about 50%. This opening can be called decent for this kind of film when compared to other films but not too impressive given the star power involved and that these are only limited shows across smaller screens and provinces; unless there is a sizeable jump tomorrow (on Saturday) we should expect an overall weekend total…
After slowing down slightly during the weekdays, KGF – Chapter 2 got back on track during its second weekend. The film held like a rock on Friday with collections of Rs. 11.56 crore and showed extraordinary growth in its second Saturday according to early estimates; taking the total collection so far up to around Rs. 300 crores according to ranges of £299-£300 million pounds ($44-$45 million). The new release from Prashanth Neel seems destined for the landmark of reaching Rs. 300 crore, but there is still time for it to go past that mark. We’re expecting an update on its…
It is KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) all the way as the film runs amok and collects more than double of any other film currently in theaters. Friday saw 11.56 crores come pouring in from cinemas, plus 13.58 crores from Thursday receipts! And now Jersey has also debuted which took up a reasonable amount of screens this time around. However, it still does about twice what Jersey or RRR (Hindi) can put out- which means this powerhouse will be absolutely ruling throughout the entire weekend! In fact, the collection will probably triple those of other films on Saturday since the…

After delighting all its viewers, KGF Chapter 2 which still continues to run is on the verge of achieving a new feat.
