Earlier this week, we saw the Thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast roaring at the box office. The film has managed to rake in a cumulative Rs. 115 crores gross at the close of Day 2 despite competition from KGF 2. Though there are large amounts of fans for superstar Vijay – Beast has still faced noticeable drops in its revenue since day 1 when compared with KGF2.
There was 57% less money earned domestically than on opening day but abroad, there were 34 crore dollars total takings; though it fell short with only 17 crore dollars earning across North America and Europe (each respectively). For now, because Beast is so popular domestically while having international supporters- the movie will probably fare well on the weekend; however without gaining some more momentum fast and without supporting evidence that they can surpass expectations- it may not make up ground during Weekdays or spread out among other Indian languages too easily as Hollywood movies often do.
