Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to draw in crowds across India, scoring a new record for fastest hundred million dollar release in Indian box offices. One of only five other movies from Hollywood that have achieved this milestone, Spider-Man has earned Rs. 108.37 crores (just over $14 million) within just eight days of being released and has grossed an additional Rs. 29.23 crores (about $4 million) on the weekend for a total of about $18 million dollars globally so far. In 2021, only a handful of films had managed to break the 100 crore threshold and were successful enough enough…
The latest release from Hollywood blockbuster studios, Spider-Man: No Way Home, has had a phenomenal success this past week. What with being seen everywhere from the international markets to this country’s own theaters – it seems like everyone wants to see what marvels await them in this exhilarating film. It only opened a few days ago but already it has surpassed over $500 million [Rs. 3673 crore] in the box office earnings since March 15th; making it one of the most financially successful films ever made. Collecting $342 million [Rs. 2,542 cr.] internationally and $253 million [$1,925 cr] in America,…
After a sharp decrease of 40% on Friday, Spider-Man: No Way Home has become successful again for the third consecutive day as it collects an estimated 24.50 – 26 crore rupees over the course of 3 days. It appears that these performances are especially good for Mumbai and Delhi because these cities had shown a significant increase in attendance by almost double from what they were before. Estimations so far show that this film will break the record for most money made at the box office during its opening week surpassing Sooryavanshi which only made around 76 crores rupees. The…
After a phenomenal opening of RS. 32.67 crores on Day 1, Spiderman: No Way Home has continued its good run by maintaining the previous day’s performance by raking in the approximate range of RS. 23-25 crores on Day 2. The two-day gross now stands at RS. 55 to 57 crore; which is no less than a spectacular figure already achieved here. The movie is steadily headed towards doubling it during Week 1 through up to RS. 150 crore; and this too can very well be achieved as early as possible – that too without much fuss! On Tuesday there was…
Finally theaters are buzzing with excitement after a while. With Spider-Man: No Way Home performing well across the nation, Pushpa doing an amazing job down south in Telugu and also being profitable in Hindi, theaters are making money. On Friday, the second day of Spider-Man: No Way Home, there were 20.37 crores collected all over India. For any movie to reach these kinds of numbers on the 2nd day is already amazing but with this being a Marvel franchise – and the first day having reached an even higher number – there seems little doubt that this film will make…
Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, has been doing well after its theatrical release. It was released on Friday, September 7th and opened up to rave reviews from audiences who saw it. However, there has been a decline in revenues on Day 2 (Saturday) which may mean that audience attendance will decrease or the movie will lose money altogether. Spider-Man: No Way Home did exceptionally well on Saturday and although it didn’t quite reach the height set from Thursday (Rs. 32.67 crores), soon enough, it managed to do fairly well and brought in Rs. 26.10 crores.…
The new Allu Arjun starrer, Puspha: The Rise – Part 1 has taken India by storm after its release last week. Even before the hype had died out surrounding the amazing movie, Hollywood’s Spider-Man: No Way Home came along and stole some of its thunder. Although it is playing well throughout South India so far (as per reports), the Hindi version has managed to garner only 3 crore rupees on opening day; a below-average number in comparison to expectations since there was no name value or enough public buzz behind it yet. Having said that though, as long as Pushpa…
All predictions made around the first day box office collections of Spider-Man: No Way Home have been slaughtered, and how. It was mentioned in this very column that the film could end up taking an opening of Rs. 15-18 crores and that too, by the way, would have been huge. However, what actually happened on the very first day of release was something so incredible and phenomenal that it has broken all records set even before its theatrical release. Released just last Thursday, the film managed to collect a whopping Rs. 32.67 crores – double of what it could have…
The Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which was released a few weeks ago continues to do well in theaters. The movie which also stars Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn was supposed to release on the OTT platform Netflix but since it wasn’t available yet, people who couldn’t wait for their chance to watch this hot new release were able to still see the film from where they could. Even though it’s now only showing in select theaters, this movie has made just under 7 crores so far! In this box office report we take a look at the sixth…
Tom Holland and Zendaya starring Spider-Man: No Way Home has been creating buzz in the Indian market with its advanced booking opening last Sunday. With such high demand for tickets, Sony Pictures Entertainment India and theatres across India opened pre-sales on Sunday December 12th to accommodate all those who wish to purchase them early. So far, it looks as though this move paid off because if things keep up – we might just be breaking post- pandemic box office records! The film will open nationwide on December 16th but some theatres are already taking reservations as early as 4am in…
