According to Box Office India, Antim-The Final Truth continues to soar at the box office with an additional Rs. 7.55 crores making its way into the film’s coffers on Sunday. Now boasting strong numbers across Saturday and Sunday, the Hindi remake of Marathi hit Sairat has earned an estimated cumulative net amount totaling up to Rs. 18.61 crore rupees; just shy of reaching the coveted mark of Rs 20 crores rupees. With such high praise from critics and audiences alike, one can’t help but wonder if staying exclusive for theaters helped boost momentum behind the film.
As for Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty and team – they were always confident that Sooryavanshi would arrive first in theatres because they knew it was going to bring them respect from others. This confidence has paid off tremendously as the film is enjoying the best occupancy amongst all releases even at the limited count of screens where it’s playing. On Sunday, Sooryavanshi earned Rs. 2 crores (US$0.34 million) more than its last day which puts this impressive performance close to its current total earnings of Rs. 190 crores (US$27 million). Standing at Rs. 189.10 crores (US$27 million), we can expect Sooryavanshi to start breaking records soon enough with a new milestone set around 189 crore (US$24 million).
