After collecting Rs. 1.81 crores on Day 1, Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai had a huge boost in collections on Saturday. The slice-of-life drama grew by 102% after just one day of release – an impressive feat that only comes about every now and then for movies released these days. On Saturday alone the movie was able to collect RS 3.64 crores which took it up to a grand total of rs 5.45 crores so far within its first two days of release.
What is significant is that Uunchai has registered the second biggest growth on Day 2 of a Bollywood film in the post-pandemic world after The Kashmir Files. The Kashmir Files which had made Rs. 3.55 crores on Day 1 (which was 139% higher than its first day) ended up making Rs. 8.5 crores at the end of Day 2 with an increase of 102%. On the other hand, Uunchai made Rs.1.8 crores at the end of Day 2 and increased by 102% to make only Rs 3.64 crores.
