The SS Rajamouli directed film RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR was released a while ago after being met with mostly positive reviews from critics. Despite starting off well, when its third week came around there were some noticeable drops in revenue in comparison to what it had accumulated over the course of the first few days.
Nevertheless, at the end of its run RRR which also features Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn made Rs. 35 crore (approximately $5 million USD) – placing it among India’s seventh highest third-week grossers of all time! With just over one month until another major Indian release draws nearer, we wanted to take an accurate count down today and give you something you could keep your eye on for later this year.
However, the movie’s third week collections did not beat other big releases such as Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion and Kabir Singh. With the premiere of KGF – Chapter 2 set to take up a significant amount of screens next weekend, there has been an obvious shift in its numbers in just one week. Trade experts are predicting that even though it may attract some viewers this coming weekend, its totals will only come close to what they were before this recent drop.
