Despite war being in its third week of release, collections for Wednesday totaled a commendable Rs. 3.60 crores. With the onset of the festive season, it was not expected that the film would make these sorts of gains. Nevertheless, these results are much appreciated and provide a nice boost to Siddharth Anand’s directed venture.
With the current collection at Rs. 284.20 crores, War is expected to hit Rs. 287 crores before this week ends. In spite of a host of new releases coming up this weekend, the movie looks likely to remain the audience’s favorite with potentially high numbers for Saturday and Sunday.
With anticipation building, the weekend could potentially see Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff become members of the illustrious Rs. 300 Crore Club. Though early estimates suggested that the Yash Raj production may break records and cross Rs. 325-350 crores in lifetime collections, its current trajectory points towards a Rs. 320 crore finish – an impressive feat all the same.
