Runway 34 saw a massive decline in the number of people coming through after the first few days. When we looked at the numbers, they showed that our stock had dropped by around 20% just from Day 1 to Day 3; which was not promising. It seems many people were put off due to Aajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan being two major actors featured in this film, both on screen and for advertisement – putting money behind all of it only set them up for greater failure because ultimately, these early trends weren’t looking good.
Yesterday [Eid] would mark one year since they released and while some improvement is noted today or tomorrow as there’s nothing else out right now – why are we looking at such low numbers? People keep telling me they’re seeing great reviews or hearing decent discussion but what can happen? Films need an audience who actually wants to see them!
