The Yash starrer KGF – Chapter 2 which released a while back has been doing well at the box office. Following its initial success, the business of this film surpassed Rs. 100 cr., and then even crossed over Rs. 200 cr., and eventually reached an impressive mark of over Rs. 300 cr; all within just 22 days! Now, within just 23 days since release, it has managed to accumulate over Rs. 400 cr.; making it one of India’s highest grossing films of all time!
It is undeniable, KGF – Chapter 2 has been phenomenal in the Mumbai circuit having achieved Rs. 122.93 crore until now! This claim becomes more powerful when you consider that it has outperformed previous big releases including Tiger Zinda Hai which earned only 109.08 crore and PK at 105.2 crore but falls short of Baahubali 2- The Conclusion which garnered 196 cr and Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior with 136.94 crores. What this means for all of us going forward is that it’s fairly safe to assume that KGF-Chapter 2 will soon top out at over 135 crores making for an absolutely incredible sum for its release till date (27 Dec) alone! Of course, owing to recent Hollywood movies hitting theaters in India, all are expecting sales numbers to dwindle considerably, but thankfully they still stand as amazingly high nonetheless; simply put, no other film like KGF-Chapter 2 exists presently!
