The much-talked about yet eagerly awaited sequel of the blockbuster hit KGF – Chapter 2 was released three months ago. Ever since then, the movie- which has been very popular -has attracted an immense number of viewers. In fact, KGF 2 not only made it past the Rs. 100 crores and Rs. 200 crores marks, but also blew past the Rs. 400 crores mark at the box office!
In this most recent Box Office Report, we examine how well KGF Chapter 2 did after its fourth week. With a collection of Rs. 22.75 crore in its four weeks, it has become the highest grossing film after four weeks of release for all films released in 2022 so far! In fact, the earnings from this film exceed what other films released such as RRR which earned Rs. 11.72 crores, The Kashmir Files which earned 9.95 crores, Gangubai Kathiawadi which earned 5.25 crores; there was also Jhund and Badhaai Do who both reached 0.4 crores each – but none could compare with KGF-2’s earnings after 4 weeks! Looking to the future though – as predicted by trade analysts – there will likely be an even larger viewership for the movie over the coming days due to sustained business throughout these past few weekends (Hence being projected at 420 billion).
