After the release of KGF: Chapter 2, people were blown away by how quickly it reached its first 100 crore. This included a whopping $25 million within the first five days of release in India alone! By this point everyone knew this movie was going to break records and become an all-time blockbuster. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for its achievements to come rolling in – just two weeks after release, it had already surpassed the 200 crore mark with tickets sold worldwide! With 17 days left until Christmas Day (December 25th), this sensational film will most likely break out before then.
In this Box Office Report, we compare the fifth-weekend collection of KGF: Chapter 2 to previous films released. Collecting Rs. 6.35 crore for the film so far, it has overtaken Dangal (Rs 6.12 crore) to become the fourth highest fifth weekend grosser ever! It also surpassed other films like Kabir Singh (Rs 4.98 crore), 3 Idiots (Rs 4.88 crore), Badhaai Ho (Rs 4.70 crore), Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 (Rs 4.48 crore) and Padmaavat (Rs 4.46 crores). Going forward, the business of KGF – Chapter 2 is predicted to see even more growth in its fifth week with new releases having no effect on its success.
