Housefull 4 has made it to the ninth highest-grossing movie on its opening day this year, headlined by Akshay Kumar. The latest in Bollywood news is a hot topic – be it the hottest celeb gossip, or any significant breaking news about top stars.
On the opening day, Housefull 4 generated Rs. 19.08 cr, becoming Akshay Kumar’s fifth biggest opening grosser of all time. The actor has enjoyed success in the past with Mission Mangal bringing in Rs. 29.16 cr, Gold with Rs. 25.25 cr, Kesari collecting Rs. 21.06 cr and Singh is Bliing garnering Rs. 20.67 cr as his highest-grossing openings thus far. In contrast, some of his other releases have seen comparatively lower box office earnings such as Housefull 3 that earned Rs. 15.21 cr, Brothers earning Rs 15.2 cr, Rowdy Rathore with a collection of Rs 15.10 cr and Boss and Rustom each taking home Rs 14 .5cr and 14 .11cr respectively .
Despite having garnered a mixed response from the critics, Housefull 4 is likely to reap immense benefits from the ongoing festive season of Diwali. Thanks to Monday and Tuesday being holidays, expectations are high that the movie’s collection will go beyond Rs. 100 cr.
