The Eluktronics MAX-15 is a high-powered laptop that’s great for gaming and other resource-intensive tasks. It has a large 15.6-inch display, an Intel Core i7 processor, and 16GB of RAM. Plus, it comes with a 1TB hard drive for plenty of storage space. If you’re looking for a powerful laptop that can handle anything you throw at it, the Eluktronics MAX-15 is a great option.
Build Quality
When I removed the lid from the box, my first thought was how sturdy this laptop seemed. Its metal construction felt akin to my own XPS-es and experiences with Macs in a way. Besides for the relatively thin panel at its base that detaches quite easily, everything seems mostly carved out of one single chunk of metal – an impressive feat considering what you can store inside.
When closed, the Max-15 looks just like any other device – save for a few small details. With most laptops marketed as being gaming devices sporting angular bodies and flashy colors, this machine could easily pass off as just another laptop. There are hints of its true purpose though: dbrand skins if chosen, bright blue lights from the individual keys if lit up, RGB effects if enabled – there are always clues if you know where to look.
Power Brick
One downside to this laptop is its giant power brick. I knew it was going to be big, but I thought it would only be a little bit bigger than the XPS brick. This one is twice as big! But then again there are other laptops for gaming purposes that have much larger bricks (or in some cases, two). It’s just frustrating because I’ve had bigger ones before – like my 17 Alienware back when I bought it which was way too big – so maybe this isn’t as bad.
