2020 saw a film surpassing the opening of another earlier this year. Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior took an excellent start by earning Rs. 15.10 crores but now, Baaghi 3 has just earned Rs. 17.50 crores on its first day at the box office which is even greater than that of Ajay Devgn starrer (The Unsung Warrior) whose lifetime is nearly 30 times more than its single-day earnings! It was clear from then that these films would have different trajectories going forward and it will most likely be difficult for them to share the same kind of fate; especially since these movies are made with different budgets in mind.
Even so, it is clear that Tiger Shroff has already found success with his limited releases. Apart from Baaghi 2 which grossed Rs. 25 crore and War (which made over Rs. 53 crore), the actor also had a solo film Baaghi 3 which opened at nearly 35crores on its first day! With the health scare spreading throughout the country and continuing unabated, however, numbers are only expected to increase slightly through Saturday – but since this is an Sajid Nadiadwala production, they can never be fully predicted or anticipated before hand! Nevertheless, by next week after Holi celebrations are in full swing, another bout of strong business may happen; even if demand dips during morning showings due to people being out celebrating for the festival!
