Baaghi 3 is projected to do a great job at the box office. Having already beaten Baaghi 1 in terms of collections, Baaghi 2, too has performed exceptionally well both commercially and critically. With only a few days left for release, Baaghi 3 seems poised for success. After all, Baaghi 1 collected Rs.77 crores against its budget of Rs 22 crores while collecting an additional Rs 83 crores after satellite rights were sold; making it India’s second highest grossing film internationally- second only to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. What’s more?
At eight times the cost of production before other expenses–or said another way in ten times total–Baaghi 2 broke records worldwide with earnings close to 20 times the initial investment! Combined earnings now hover around 100% increase over Friday’s number showing significant drops across theatres nationwide which indicates considerable momentum going forward.
The Tiger Shroff-starrer has collected Rs. 84.97 crores so far and while the Rs. 100 crores mark will be hit by Saturday, it has to be seen what’s the kind of distance that it covers eventually. The pace at which it is going currently, a lifetime in the vicinity of Rs. 125 crores seems likely but there’s still plenty of opportunity for this number to grow even higher because there are many other big releases coming up soon -most notably Krrish 3.
