Yet another set of records have been broken. KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) is now the third highest Hindi grosser ever, what with its collections being just next to Baahubali: The Conclusion (Hindi) (Rs. 510.99 crores) and Dangal (Rs. 387.38 crores) now. The film currently stands at Rs. 343.13 crores and in just 14 days has gone past the lifetime score of Sanju (Rs. 342.53 crores), PK (Rs. 340 million dollars) and Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 338 million dollars).
Collecting Rs.7.48 crores Tuesday, the film dropped from a high of Rs.6.25 crores on Wednesday and is expected to dip down even further during Thursday’s screening time slots. However, people are anticipating Monday’s revenue for being in between Rs.5.25-5.50 crore which would put it right at 350 crore rupees before Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 make their rounds next week.
Meanwhile, it would be curtains for Jersey this week itself as the film has been hardly collecting and has turned out to be a theatrical reject. The word of mouth hasn’t quite translated into footfalls which can be seen in Wednesday collections as well which were just a little above the Rs. 1 crore mark.
Currently standing at Rs. 19.75 crores*, the film will go past the Rs. 20 crores mark but that’s about it; there isn’t much room left before hitting 0 – though some say it could reach up to 60 crores*. It won’t have enough time to make its way towards an upper lifetime value (LTV) of 100 crores* – even if there was an unreasonable future projection set against what people are saying right now (*unrealistic).
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
