A few days ago, KGF – Chapter 2 released to audiences. It was still widely popular even though there were several new releases that came out over the last few weeks before its release. Given this hype, I went into watching it thinking they had at least done something right because people seemed so excited about its arrival. When sitting down in my seat inside a crowded theatre and turning my head around to observe all the faces staring back at me with anticipation, it reminded me of how refreshing movies can be for everyone in this place together – building hope together is how we’ve come so far.
Nevertheless, just as everyone else seemed too caught up on what happens during the next installment or trying to find hints about where the story would go next with each scene change or new character reveal, I found me sinking away from disappointment when certain developments left me feeling like ‘this wasn’t good enough.’
