A little over a week ago, we saw the release of the much talked about and keenly anticipated film KGF – Chapter 2. Starring Yash, the film which came with immense hype attached opened on a thunderous note with advance booking for its first day displaying a staggering 80% occupancy rate. Following a stellar opening day, the business of the film saw growth over its first week as well. Now on its second weekend running KGF 2 has managed to hold strong despite the new release, the Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey, hitting screens. In this box office report, we look at the second-weekend collections of KGF – Chapter 2 while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 52.49 cr KGF 2 manages to beat the SS Rajamouli starrer RRR which collected Rs. 52 cr to emerge as the seventh all-time highest second weekend grosser. Apart from RRR, the business of KGF 2 has posted better collections than other releases as well like, the Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai which collected Rs. 48.71 cr and the Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior which collected Rs. 48.54 cr.
