The Yash starrer KGF- Chapter 2 is taking the country by storm. Since its release a few weeks ago, it has been breaking records with every passing day since then. After an amazing opening, the revenue for the film skyrocketed even more when it showed up over its extended four-day weekend. If that wasn’t enough, there was still growth in revenue from during its first week after an equally successful second weekend showing. Within Mumbai’s suburban area, where it leads all other films earned Rs 107.66 crore*, making it one of only 4 films to exceed 100 crore* there so far*. In fact, the business of KGF- Chapter 2 outperformed prior releases like PK which earned Rs 105.20 crores*, Dangal which earned Rs 104.22 crores*, Sanju which earned Rs 102.39 crores*, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan which earned Rs 99.34 crores*.
With KGF chapter 2 still at top of the charts it seemed unlikely that any other release could make its mark on this list. Nevertheless, some movies like Baahubali-2: The Conclusion, Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior, and Tiger Zinda Hai have managed to do just that by gaining 10 million+ views each over the past few days. These numbers are only counting views up until now; with one viewing resulting in two ratings for a given video, we expect these numbers to rise exponentially when we take into account all those people who want to watch these movies but can’t because they’re out of home or unavailable in their region.
