Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness debuted with high anticipation, yet saw a sharp decline in revenue over its first few weekends. Now, after another significant decrease in ticket sales on weekend 3, Doctor Strange has collected $31.6 million domestically and $40 million internationally – just barely enough to break even. The film remains near the top of the worldwide weekend estimates chart.
Collecting a staggering cumulative $803 million [Rs. 6213.27 crore] Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has done well, but when compared to the previous release in the MCU, the film has only collected 44% of what it could have if it had been released at another time. On the other hand though, the film has managed to collect 88% more than its predecessor that was released two years ago; which is very impressive since most sequels never live up to expectations or surpass their predecessors. As for which countries loved this movie best, these top ones were South Korea ($45.9M), U.K.($43.8M), Mexico($35.7M), Brazil($29.2M) Australia($23$M) and France($20.$).
