With a near flawless record for collections and its popularity spanning across not just urban masses but also small towns, there was never any doubt about this film’s success for long. It set out to break records and surpass milestones–and it did just so last week. Coming up with earnings of around INR 9 crores ($1.3 million) in merely 10 days time, KGF- Chapter 2 became one of India’s highest grossing films ever!
It remains to be seen whether this unbeatable champ can go on or whether someone would finally bring them down. With 3 new releases lined up for this weekend (namely Ankahee, Ranveer Singh directorial Kalank), reports say that KGF- Chapter 2 could experience some fluctuations in numbers but nothing too drastic either way considering how well received both films are being (with mixed reviews).
