A few days ago, we finally saw the release of the much discussed film KGF – Chapter 2. Featuring actor Yash and directed by Prashanth Neel, it began with a boom when audiences rushed to see it. It did well with wide acceptance among viewers and positive reviews from critics.
With an extended four day weekend, these factors have had a magic effect on the movie’s sales numbers: After making Rs. 53.95 crores on Day 1, KGF-2 made over Rs. 46 crore on Day 2 which raised its total revenue past the Rs. 100 crores mark.
Collecting Rs. 100.74 crore in just 2 days of its release, KGF – Chapter 2 has now become the fastest film to achieve this feat. If that weren’t all when compared to previous South films dubbed in Hindi, KGF 2 tops the charts. In fact, the film currently ranks as the seventh Hindi dubbed south film to enter this much-coveted club.
In terms of managing to go past the Rs. 100 crore mark, KGF – Chapter 2 yet again takes the top spot as being the fastest film to do so. With KGF 2 entering the Rs. 100 crore club, Yash starrer now joins previous Hindi dubbed releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (Hindi), RRR (Tamil Dubbed),2 . 0 , Saaho, Bahubali: The Beginning and Pushpa : The Rise for achieving this feat.
