This week is marked by a clash between two movie theaters. One theater has both Vijay starrer Beast and Yash starrer KGF 2- the former released days before followed by the highly anticipated sequel. Reports show that despite fierce competition from one another, Beast has been doing well in international markets.
This comes after it kickstarted on a good note domestically just this past week but faced some hard times when it came to its Indian collections – these are now holding steady even though they’ve seen a slight decrease due to said intense competitor. Overseas, meanwhile, was where things were looking up for Beast which had earned 326,475 USD in Australia; 518,350 USD in United Kingdom and Ireland; 969,076 USD in USA and 34,597 USD in New Zealand.
This week marked the release of KGF2, which featured big-name actors Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. Meanwhile, Vijay’s fanbase did not seem to suffer from the international release of Yash’s film Beast. However, considering that it was a long weekend in addition to his continuing success for the past few weeks, it is likely that Beast will make an even bigger dent in ticket sales.
