The SS Rajamouli directed RRR starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn released last week with all eyes watching to see what it would do in the wake of the epic Bahubali Saga. With everything living up to expectations, reviews are coming back positive while the movie continues its steady climb at the box office. One thing is certain: there’s no stopping this latest S S Rajamouli masterpiece as it racks in its worth every day. Released on 8000 screens worldwide across many languages (Hindi/Tamil) and formats (2D/3D), there hasn’t been anything like it before – until now!
In this article, we discuss how each domestic circuit fares in contributing to the success of Ranveer Singh’s latest release. Leading as the highest grossing territory is Mumbai – having made Rs. 44.78 crores so far – followed closely by Delhi-UP who contributed rs. 27.36 crores and East Punjab who contributed rs. 12.11 crores (approximately). Other territories didn’t fare too well when compared to these contributions; CP managed only 9.66 crores, CI managed just 6.55 crores while Rajasthan came up with an amount of 8.19crores (roughly).
However, going forward there are still chances for both Gudi Padwa celebrations and Sunday feasts to contribute greatly towards boosting up Ranveer Singh’s numbers! A tally from the trade analysts states that the film could surpass Rs 150 crore if not go past 170 crore soon enough!
