Last Friday night, Attack – Part 1 was released to a mix of reviews. With stiff competition from the latest releases The Kashmir Files and RRR, it seemed as if there wasn’t much hope for this movie. However, it still managed to find some success during its opening weekend- collecting about 12 crore rupees (around $1.7 million). Although it didn’t rank among the top openings for 2022 so far, it still managed to place sixth on that list.
However, in comparison to the film’s predecessors like RRR (which earned Rs. 75.57cr) Gangubai Kathiawadi (Rs. 39.12cr), Bachchhan Paandey (Rs. 36.17cr), and The Kashmir Files (Rs. 27.15cr), Attack – Part 1 only earns Rs.(?) cr; because it falls short of revenue from releases such as Badhaai Do (Rs 7.82c) and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Jhund (Rs 5 58c).
And according to industry projections for its first week alone, this movie is estimated to earn considerably less than what would’ve been necessary for it to do well at the box office; given how its total collections are predicted by some people who follow these things closely enough to make them worth mentioning.
