Yet another success in theatre this time around – the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 2 has grossed an impressive Rs. 46.79 crores so far at the box office! It doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon either, considering that it was only released two days ago (on Good Friday) and there are no public holidays this weekend. This means that come Monday, we’ll see a significant jump in numbers as well before its release in Telugu on Wednesday of next week!
So far, the movie has collected a whopping Rs. 100.74 crore and is well on its way to become India’s next big blockbuster film. Just the Hindi version of the movie has now crossed the entire lifetime business of KGF – Chapter 1 which proves my point even more that this is going to be one successful project!
If you compare it to Baahubali – The Conclusion, after just two days the film has done significantly better. Released on a non-holiday, the SS Rajamouli film collected Rs. 41 crores in just 24 hours. This fortune changed for the better when there was an enormous increase for just one day with Rs. 40.5 crores being collected over Saturday alone. To make matters even better, this increased even further on Sunday collecting Rs. 46.50 crores in total! All of this means that within these past three days alone, the film has already made quite an impact; earning over Rs 81 crore rupees and if this momentum continues then there is no way that KGF – Chapter 2 can top it!
