The latest film from the KGF franchise, which was released yesterday all around the world, lived up to its hype. Released in over 10,000 theaters, the eagerly anticipated movie smashed records after collecting an estimated Rs. 400 crore on its opening day alone! By the end of Day 2 – just 24 hours after it had been out – it had managed to surpass 100 crores in revenue!
Collecting an astounding Rs. 53.95 crores on Day 1, with an additional Rs. 46.79 crores, KGF 2 has now become the first movie to break the Rs. 100 crore mark in just two days since its release date – making it one of Hollywood’s most successful movies ever made. Alongside being Yash’s (the movie star) first-ever release to reach this milestone, it is also Prashanth Neel’s (the director)’s first project to do so too; making it a win-win for both parties involved!
Currently, KGF – Chapter 2 is running without fail, and in fact trade predictions claim that it will only get better. Easter weekend means an extra boost in revenue, so this was a good time for such a release. As of now, because it has been out for just two days already, advance predictions have said that people are constantly reserving tickets for evening and night shows on Saturday with Sunday seeing an even higher demand.
