The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next release, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness released last week. With high anticipations for this movie, it has lived up to expectation with an opening box office taking in a whopping Rs. 28.35 crores on day 1.
However, with lackluster reviews and mediocre audience feedback the business of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness quickly began to decline. Managing to draw in Rs. 79.5 cr over its opening weekend the film witnessed a drastic drop in collections on its first Monday. Following this, the collections for Doctor Strange 2 stayed at about Rs. 4-5 cr per day.
Now at the end of its second week running, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark (USD 1M). Collecting Rs. 101.49 cr (USD 1M) during its first week it appears that while it might not be performing as well as anticipated, Doctor Strange 2 will still likely make good money over time (in dollars).
