The Ranbir Kapoor starrer, Shamshera, released last week and had been expected to have a successful opening at the box office; however, it has been performing underwhelmingly. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film saw its collections amount to only Rs. 10.25 cr on its first day. Furthermore, it continued to be lacklustre in terms of its commercial success, with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles.

Going ahead, market analyses foretell a rather disheartening future for Shamshera’s business. In spite of the significant publicity and build–up, the movie is anticipated to record underwhelming figures during the next few days.
