JugJugg Jeeyo emerged as the highest–grossing movie over the past weekend, not just keeping, but increasing its lead with every passing day. Being a family entertainment that has a much broader appeal, the collections it has managed to fetch at upscale multiplexes, which have the highest ticket prices, have resulted in better returns as well. Although the movie has been doing quite well all across the nation, the most prosperous region has been Delhi NCR, which was predicted earlier. So far, the film has earned a total of 67.54 crores, and if it can manage to reach Rs. 75 crores by the end of its second week, it will be a tremendous result.
Delhi NCR is witnessing an impressive performance when it comes to Rocketry compared to the rest of the nation. Madhavan’s film has managed to collect Rs. 3.67 crores since the weekend and has shown encouraging growth. Even though, it was anticipated that the numbers would further grow by Sunday, the growth was decent and now all eyes are set to witness if it can maintain the same level of collections during the weekdays. If this can be achieved, it would go a long way in boosting the prospects of the film.
Om has seen some notable success among certain groups of moviegoers who usually attend single screens, a trend which was made evident during the promotional stage itself. Much of this success is thanks to Aditya Roy Kapur’s contribution, with the film already having earned Rs. 5 crores* so far. One is keen to see where it will eventually end up. Antim – The Final Truth had only a one-film-old actor in Ayush Sharma, but with Salman Khan’s influence, it was able to find much more success than expected. The same effect may be true for this Ahmed Khan production.
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
