Despite screening in only a few theaters, Bala remained successful at the box office. On Friday it brought in a respectable Rs. 0.65 crores, yet Saturday saw more than double this amount with a total of Rs. 1.35 crores earned by the film starring Ayushmann Khurranna, Yami Gautam, and Bhumi Pednekar, ensuring that the weekend’s profits would remain robust.
Dinesh Vijan’s production should have a good day at the box office today and an amount of approximately Rs. 1.75 crores is desired. Thus far, the movie has garnered Rs. 111.88 crores and is expected to pass the Rs. 113.50 crore benchmark by the close of this weekend, thus expediting its journey towards the final goal of collecting a lifetime total of Rs. 120 crores.
This year, Akshay Kumar has already seen three releases and will soon have a fourth one, while Ayushmann Khurranna is the only other leading man who’s achieved the same success. His trio of releases have all been either hits or superhits. The actor also has at least three more movies coming up in 2020, depending solely on their content to attract moviegoers.
