Opening up on an extremely average note, Bachchan Paandey did not see an increased intake in terms of box office ratings this past weekend. Having received approximately Rs. 38 crore throughout the opening three days (as opposed to Friday – Sunday), the Akshay Kumar starrer could not outpace other recently released movies such as Kashmir Files (released earlier in 2022) which earned Rs. 42 crore and averaged between Rs. 44-51 crore overall; respectively over the course of release three weeks).
With Business at only around half of what was anticipated for this movie, there is a chance we might see this one play out slowly across screens till pre-release shows are exhausted before being shuffled off to television or just shelved altogether after post- production costs can no longer be recouped through physical discs/ Blu-ray purchases and Youtube advertising fees have dried up.
