Pongal is an annual celebration of the harvesting season in South India, during which Hindus thank mother nature for her bounty with merriment and heartfelt traditions. Families join together at home while enjoying an amazing feast – forgetting about any stresses from work or life – to celebrate Pongal Day!
It always falls on either the 14th or 15th day of January every year. Although it lasts just three days, it will go down as one of my most memorable memories because we were able to spend time making new memories together without busy lives intruding on our plans.
