On the eighth day since its release, Wednesday still held the promise of good collections for War. It was easy to imagine it would be another double–digit day but seeing that reality unfold exceeded expectations. Yet again, Siddharth Anand’s directional efforts yielded greater returns than expected as the film gathered Rs 11.90 crore on Wednesday alone.
The tremendous success of the film is further demonstrated by its incredible earnings of Rs. 228.55 crores at the box office so far, set to increase to beyond Rs. 235 crores with a nine–day weekend. Its performance over the second weekend and then during the weekdays will provide an indication as to whether or not it can make its way to the monumental mark of Rs. 250 crores.
For Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, the film has been a massive biggie. While Hrithik has seen that before with Krrish 3 as well as Bang Bang, Tiger Shroff has managed a huge grosser in a span of just 20 months after Baaghi 2, which was a blockbuster. The stocks for the youngster have gone higher up after the super success of War and that has certainly made him rush far ahead of his contemporaries.
