Last week, the much–awaited film War starring Tiger Shroff, Hrithik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor was finally released on October 2. Marketed as the biggest action movie of 2019, it had all eyes set upon it from its inception and indeed kicked off to a magnificent start with a massive first day collection of Rs. 53.35 cr, living up to the immense hype around it.
The much–anticipated movie War starring Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan collected an impressive Rs. 166.25 crore on its opening weekend, becoming the second highest all-time opening weekend grosser of Indian cinema history. Even though the movie was released in 4000 screens with a five-day weekend head start, it could not surpass Salman Khan’s Sultan which minted Rs 180.36 crore at the box office. As it stands, War is still packing movie theaters across the country and is likely to remain in that position for the rest of this week. With a dearth of competitors, experts believe it will soon reach an unprecedented box office total of Rs. 200 cr within a matter of days.
