Yes, you read it right! Tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home are going for a whopping Rs. 2200 per ticket in multiplexes such as PVR Director’s Cut across India. As of now, the 7 pm screening on December 16th has been priced at Rs. 22000 (platinum superior) while four other screenings currently offer tickets priced at Rs. 21000 each.
But don’t worry – you’re not paying extra just so they can serve snacks or turn up the volume of the surround sound system because all those things come standard with this price tag which includes plush seats that recline and cozy ‘couple’ seating sections; food service right to your seat with one push of a button; and even complimentary concierge service throughout the entire theater complex!
In what is being considered one of the fastest sellers for any film, PVR properties across India sold over 50,000 tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home in only three hours. Theatres in Mumbai are even increasing ticket costs to 18001 rupees. Only few of these theatres have reached this high amount though – like PVR Icon Luxe at Andheri and INOX: Insignia at Atria Mall in Worli. These theatres charge 18001 rupees each while several other theatres throughout Mumbai and Delhi are selling tickets for 1000 or more.
Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer Spider-Man: No Way Home, is set to be joined by Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Rumor has it that Tom Holland’s predecessor Toby Maguire will make an appearance alongside him on screen while Andrew Garfield may be joining them too.
