Titanic Movie – Memories Remain – The ship has sunk
Titanic is one of the most expensive movies ever made. Each gown worn by actresses Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio was costly, painstakingly handcrafted, and stunning in every detail. The boat they were on looked like an opulent titan; just waiting to devour all those brave enough to enter its realm.
Funded by $200 million worth of investors, Titanic managed to rake in 2 billion from ticket sales – which is quite unbelievable considering it’s merely a fictional account. Yet somehow I believe it when I watch the love story between Rose and Jack unfold before me; a tale purely crafted out of imagination.
True Short Story of Titanic Movie
The lavish portrayal of the ship’s captain and officers to wealthy socialites and businesspeople contributed an intimate sense of authenticity that paired well with Titanic’s fictional elements. These are the 31 Titanic passengers and crew members from history depicted in the 1997 film. Irish-born shipbuilder Thomas Andrews was the Titanic’s principle designer, sailing on her for her maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean.
The White Star Line previously employed Andrews to design one of her sister ships – The Olympic – six years prior before being commissioned for this project. Six-time Emmy nominee Victor Garber portrays Andrews, who interacted with Rose many times throughout these events which can be seen during scenes in which they interact together many times over through out this epic flick.

Based on his own determinations of the ship’s fate post-collision, Andrews informs Rose midway through the film that she only has an hour left before her boat sinks. As a result, he leaves her (or so we are led to believe) and heads towards the first class smoking room. There, he sits forlornly at one of the tables; contemplating what would happen if they did not make it out alive. What ensues next is unconfirmed information – some say that they saw him up on deck sitting calmly while throwing chairs at people in other boats trying to come aboard theirs; while others claim they saw him giving out orders to keep passengers calm and orderly while urging them onto lifeboats when appropriate.
The Shots of Oscar-Winning Film – Titanic Movie
Most of the underwater shots from James Cameron’s Titanic are real. In 1995, he created special housings for his cameras – designing them to be resistant to 6,000 pounds per square inch of pressure – and used two different craft that he hired from Russia to make 12 dives down to filming close-ups at a depth of 12,500 feet below the North Atlantic. With an average dive taking about 15 hours each time for just over 500 foot worth of footage being captured per dive, it was necessary for some of the shots outside of this area (such as those seen in Rose’s room) to be filmed on land instead.

Conclusion
James Cameron’s ‘’Titanic,’’ which many would say changed the way movies are made forever, is a cleverly written and wonderfully acted romantic tale that takes place on the stricken RMS Titanic. While incredibly well-crafted and gorgeously filmed, this movie arguably lacked some of its intended terror because we knew how it would end before it started playing. Still though, many credit this movie with starting what they call today the golden age of cinema.
