Yesterday, the highly–anticipated and widely–discussed Marvel hit movie, Thor: Love and Thunder, made its big–screen debut. Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Tessa Thompson, amongst others, played leading roles in the Taika Waititi–directed film which enjoyed a healthy rate of pre–release bookings, leading to an impressive opening.
As reported, Thor: Love and Thunder, which is the fourth film in the Thor franchise and the 29th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, achieved a box office success of Rs. 18.60 crores on the opening day. This film has made it to the list of the five highest grossing opening day collections for a Hollywood film in India, standing next to previous Marvel films. These films include Avengers Endgame which grossed Rs. 53.10 cr, Spider-Man: No Way Home that collected Rs. 32.67 cr, Avengers: Infinity War with a collection of Rs. 31.30 cr, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness earning Rs. 28.35 cr.
