    Introduction

The use of diamonds has dominated the engagement ring market for hundreds of years. Recently many people have had questions about environmental damage and sustainability. This is where man made diamonds have managed to change the landscape and deliver engagement ring styles at a much lower cost than the natural product. A lab-grown diamond has the same chemical and optical features as a natural stone but is grown in the lab rather than mined.

    Your Diamond Seller

RareCarat.com have perfected lab-grown diamonds that are made of carbon and tested as diamonds, often they are even more perfect than a natural stone. Grading is based on the four Cs. Carat weight, Color. Cut and Clarity. Highly rated on Google Business and Trust Pilot with reviews of 4.9/5 by all those who purchase them. Man made diamonds do cost money to grow, but because they grow faster under controlled conditions in the lab, the savings are passed on to the customer. This allows you to buy a much larger stone than you would once have been able to afford.

    Sustainable Fashion

There are two types of diamonds for man made engagement ring styles:

CVD or chemical vapor deposition was created in the 1980s, where a diamond seed is placed in a chamber and bombarded with carbon gases, while being heated to very high temperatures, causing the molecules to split. The gas forms plasma due to the heat, around 1500 degrees Fahrenheit, and carbon pieces are released. The pieces that grow into diamonds are often type 11A diamonds almost chemically pure because they can lack boron and nitrogen impurities.

HPHT Diamonds or High-pressure High temperatures are formed in similar conditions to how the natural stone grows on the earth, and more space is required to grow diamonds in this manner. The diamonds are exposed to nitrogen in the growing chamber and this can cause a blue tinge or yellow tinge that remains stable following the growing process. Many people find the slight blue tint very attractive, and some of the HPHT diamonds are magnetic.

    Diamond Seller Treatments

When the diamond is removed from the growing chamber it looks like a dirty brown cube and has to be sent for post-growth treatment. 70-75 % of CVD diamonds come out of the growing chamber with a yellow/brown tint. The HPHT process is used to remove this. It will be listed on your grading report for GIA and IGI under the comments section.

The stones are cleaned and polished in a factory, before being returned to the diamond seller for sale to the public.

    Man Made Diamonds

When you purchase your diamond engagement ring from RareCarat it is a remarkably easy online process. The Rare Carat site has two tabs at the top of the page, one for natural diamonds, and one for man made diamonds, click on the tab to see the difference. A 1 Ct lab-grown diamond will cost $1,400, while the natural stone $5,000 and this is a significant cost difference. If you are on a budget, and who isn’t, it enables a young couple to make significant savings. On the other hand, many decide to get a much larger stone instead!

    Consult the Gemologist

Click the Lab button to choose your stone, and consult the highly trained gemologist about your preferred setting. Click on add ring button to determine the final size and shape of the ring. Then click on Complete the ring. If you have any concerns the Gemologist can make further recommendations to assist you.

You then click pay to choose your preferred payment method, and the ring will take a few weeks to complete. This allows time for production and shipping, the night before shipping you will receive an email saying the ring is arriving and must be signed for by an adult.

    Conclusion

The world is changing, and we all want more sustainable fashion choices. Lab-grown man made diamonds have come along at exactly the right time to meet these needs.

Lab-grown diamonds are viewed as an eco-friendly and sustainable choice in jewelry, especially engagement rings. For the young couple starting out together, a diamond is forever. What could be better than a trip to https://www.rarecarat.com to make your choice?
