Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior has surpassed its predecessor film, Total Dhamaal, in only ten days. When it was first released earlier this year, the comedy movie amassed a total of Rs. 154.23 crores before being replaced by the period war drama Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior. This new production has collected an impressive amount of Rs. 167.45 crore rupees so far and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon as well; it could potentially break even more records too with such high spirits surrounding it!
On Sunday, the film witnessed noteworthy growth as it jumped to Rs. 22.12 crores– exceeding its opening day of Rs. 15.10 crore; and this is now higher than the first day number (already high). Trending is quite impressive for Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior and one will have to wait and see how weekday numbers turn out to be from hereon-out.
If the film manages to maintain ticket sales at about 70% in comparison to 2nd Friday’s numbers–which amounted to about 10 crores–the movie would really make a mark for itself just within these last few days; let alone within the next few weeks where being able to enter into the Rs. 200 Crore Club is also definite given what has transpired so far and all those who are turning up left and right admire this movie!
