The Akshay Kumar starring Sooryavanshi film released yesterday to an enthusiastic response from viewers and critics alike. It is one of the most eagerly awaited films, which was predicted to do very well at the box office. As expected, it took off with a bang in both the domestic and overseas markets as well – opening with $469,062 (3.48 crore) for its first day in UAE/GCC alone.
The film collected USD 394,120 [Rs. 2.92 cr] at the box office in United Arab Emirates and another USD 74,942 [0.56 cr] from GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) territories. Released to a total of 137 screens domestically and 1300 screens internationally, this movie has exceeded all expectations already – even before it hits its domestic release date! With people still flocking to theaters – there’s no sign of things slowing down anytime soon either. Trade predictions predict that this movie will only make more money for every day after it opens because demand for it is so high!
