On Tuesday, there was a considerable improvement in Saaho collections due to some of India being on holiday during the Muslim festival. After Monday’s $2.6 million dollar profits, Tuesday’s intake rose to $2.9 million USD – an increase of nearly 11%. In spite of low ratings and mixed reviews, the movie has managed to keep $3 million dollars each day since its release – an impressive statistic considering it is competing with box-office hits such as Simmba (Chhichhore).
It will soon reach 134 million dollars worldwide and could make it past 140 million before the end of this week. Though expecting 150 million seems inevitable after looking at what it has already accomplished in terms of earnings ($136 million) one cannot forget how successful Kesari (starring Akshay Kumar) was overseas; leaving open the possibility that even though Saaho may surpass Kesari by its end date here in India, both movies might share similar amounts abroad.
