रामराजा मन्दिर ओरछा
मध्यप्रदेश के टीकमगढ जिले में प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक स्थल ओरछा में भगवान श्रीराम का भव्य व अद्भुत मंदिर स्थापित है। यहां श्री राम भगवान के रुप में नहीं बल्कि राजा के रुप में पूजे जाते हैं। कहा जाता है की यहां आज भी राम जी का ही शासन है और उसी कारण उन्हें दिन में पांच बार पुलिस द्वारा गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर दिया जाता है। यह परंपरा करीब 400 साल से चल रही है। राजा राम मंदिर ओरछा में स्थित है इसलिए इसे ओरछा मंदिर भी कहा जाता है। राजा राम को समर्पित यह मंदिर आपनी भव्यता और आलिशान होने के कारण बहुप्रसिद्ध है। इस मंदिर की वास्तुकला में बुंदेला स्थापत्य के बेजोड़ नमूने को देखा जा सकता है। देखने में यह मंदिर बिलकुल महल के जैसा दिखाई पड़ता है। यहां मंदिर प्रांगण में श्री राम के अलावा लक्ष्मण और माता जानकी की मूर्तियां स्थापित हैं। इनका श्रंगार अद्भुत होता है।

मंदिर के खुलने और बंद होने का समय
मंदिर में सुबह आठ बजे से साढ़े दस बजे तक आम लोगों को दर्शन होते हैं। इसके बाद मंदिर शाम को आठ बजे दोबारा खुलता है। रात को साढ़े दस बजे राजा शयन के लिए चले जाते हैं। मंदिर में दो बार आरती होती है एक प्रातःकालीन में और दूसरी सांयकालीन आरती। आरती के समय यहां का नज़ारा बहुत ही मनमोहक होता है।
यहां मंदिर से पहले बना था महल
मान्यताओं के अनुसार यहां पहले महल बनाया गया था, जिसमें मूर्ति को पहले ही स्थापित कर दिया गया था। इसके बाद जब मंदिर बना तब वहां से मूर्ति हटाने का बहुत प्रयास किया गया लेकिन सभी लोग इसमें असफल रहे। इस कारण से महल को मंदिर के रुप में बना दिया गया और मंदिर का नाम राजा राम मंदिर रख दिया गाया। स्थानिय लोगों के अनुसार कहा जाता है की यहां राम जी रोज अयोध्या से अदृश्य रूप में आते हैं।

मंदिर में वर्जित है ये चीज़ें
राजा राम मंदिर परिसर में बेल्ट लगाकर जाने की अनुमती नहीं है। किवदंतियों के अनुसार राजा के सामने कमर कस कर जाना उनका अपमान माना जाता है। इसलिए कोई भी व्यक्ति बेल्ट पहनकर मंदिर में प्रवेश नहीं कर सकता। इसके साथ ही मंदिर परिसर में फोटोग्राफी भी निषेध है। मंदिर का प्रबंधन मध्य प्रदेश शासन के हवाले है। पर लोकतांत्रिक सरकार भी ओरछा में राजाराम की हूकुमत को सलाम करती है। यहां पर लोग राजा राम के डर से रिश्वत नहीं लेते और भ्रष्टाचार करने से डरते हैं।
ये है मंदिर की मान्यता
मान्यताओं के अनुसार ओरछा की महारानी राजाराम के बाल रूप को अयोध्या से पैदल लेकर आईं थीं। रानी का नाम गणेशकुंवर था और राजा का नाम मधुरकशाह। रानी रामभक्त थीं। यज्ञ के बाद दक्षिणा में दे दिए पुराने 1,000 व 500 के नोट, पंडितों ने मचाया बवाल एक बार वह अयोध्या की तीर्थयात्रा पर गईं और वहां सरयू नदी के किनारे लक्ष्मण किले के पास अपनी कुटी बनाकर साधना शुरू की। इन्हीं दिनों संत शिरोमणि तुलसीदास भी अयोध्या में साधनारत थे। संत से आशीर्वाद पाकर रानी की आराधना और दृढ़ होती गईं, लेकिन रानी को कई महीनों तक राजा राम के दर्शन नहीं हुए। निराश होकर रानी अपने प्राण त्यागने सरयू की मझधार में कूद पड़ी। यहीं जल की अतल गहराइयों में उन्हें राजा राम के दर्शन हुए। रानी ने उनसे ओरछा चलने का आग्रह किया और इस तरह प्रभु श्रीराम ओरछा आए।
RamRaja Temple Orchha
A grand and wonderful temple of Lord Shri Ram is established in Orchha, a famous religious place in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. Here Shri Ram is not worshiped as a god but as a king. It is said that Ram ji still rules here and that is why he is given a guard of honor by the police five times a day. This tradition has been going on for about 400 years. Raja Ram Mandir is situated in Orchha hence it is also called as Orchha Mandir. This temple dedicated to King Rama is famous for its magnificence and luxury. A unique specimen of Bundela architecture can be seen in the architecture of this temple. Visually, this temple looks exactly like a palace. Apart from Shri Ram, idols of Lakshmana and Mata Janaki are installed here in the temple premises. Their decoration is wonderful.

Temple opening and closing time
Common people have darshan in the temple from 8 am to 10.30 am. After this the temple reopens at eight in the evening. The king goes to sleep at half past ten at night. There are two aartis in the temple, one in the morning and the other in the evening. At the time of Aarti, the view here is very attractive.
The palace was built here before the temple
According to beliefs, the first palace was built here, in which the idol was already installed. After this, when the temple was built, many efforts were made to remove the idol from there but all the people failed in it. For this reason the palace was converted into a temple and the temple was named Raja Ram Mandir. According to the local people, it is said that Ram ji comes here everyday in an invisible form from Ayodhya.

These things are prohibited in the temple
Wearing a belt is not allowed inside the Raja Ram temple premises. According to legends, it is considered an insult to go in front of the king with a tight waist. That’s why no person can enter the temple wearing a belt. Along with this, photography is also prohibited in the temple premises. The management of the temple is handed over to the Madhya Pradesh government. But the democratic government also salutes the rule of Rajaram in Orchha. People here do not take bribe due to the fear of King Ram and are afraid of doing corruption.
This is the recognition of the temple
According to beliefs, the queen of Orchha brought the child form of Rajaram from Ayodhya on foot. The queen’s name was Ganeshkunwar and the king’s name was Madhurakshah. The queen was a devotee of Ram. After Yagya, old 1,000 and 500 notes were given as Dakshina, pundits created ruckus. Once she went on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya and started her meditation by building her cottage near the Laxman fort on the banks of Sarayu river. Saint Shiromani Tulsidas was also doing meditation in Ayodhya during these days. After getting blessings from the saint, the worship of the queen became more determined, but the queen could not see King Ram for many months. Disappointed, the queen jumped into the middle of Saryu to give up her life. It was here in the bottomless depths of the water that he saw King Rama. The queen urged him to go to Orchha and thus Lord Shri Ram came to Orchha.
