Prashanth Neel’s directorial for KGF 2 shattered several box office records when it was released. Despite the release of other big Bollywood films, the Yash starrer is dominating ticket sales and pulling in audiences all over India. This film which was universally loved by audiences around the country had theatre goers celebrating during its theatrical run.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma voiced his opinion after the film’s debut, exclaiming that KGF had already taken over several other films. KGF2 is like a quick-sand just swallowing up all old-fashioned big movies, he tweeted. Continuing on Twitter, Mr.Varma responded to one user’s question with these words: KGF2 is like a large dark cloud casting a doomsday shadow on all the other big films and the black clouds torrential collections are draining all other stars and star directors.
KGF2 casts a doocalytic shadow over all other big films. He said in another tweet. The relentless torrential rain of black clouds drains away all of the stars and star directors who are beneath it.
“I think #KGF2 is like an enoromous tree under whose shadow, no tree seems to be growing,” he wrote in another tweet.
A few days ago, the director of a blockbuster-come-horror film was quick to point out how poorly Hindi cinema had fared when it came to having similar international appeal. He tweeted: KGF2 is not just a gangster film but It’s also a HORROR film for the Bollywood industry and they will have nightmares about its success for years to come.
In one other Tweet, he mentioned that Yash is conquering Bollywood with his massive star power and blockbuster movies. Like how Rocky Bhai comes to Mumbai for some street justice, @TheNameIsYash has come there to take it out on all the Bollywood stars.
