Yesterday, on August 11th, audiences witnessed the debut of the much–awaited Akshay Kumar starrer, Raksha Bandhan. Aanand L Rai’s direction brought together an ensemble cast, which included Bhumi Pednekar, for a release date coinciding with the Hindu festival of Raksha Bandhan. While it seemed that the film had a smooth sail to the box office, the presence of the Aamir Khan–starrer Laal Singh Chaddha posed stiff competition for the movie.
