Vivek Agnihotri’s newest release, The Kashmir Files has been receiving high praise from all over. Directed by Agnihotri who usually only directs for television, this film which was released on March 11th amassed almost a hundred crores in its first week. After the movie had collected huge revenues in its first seven days, several celebrities took to social media to share their excitement about the phenomenal performance of this Bollywood blockbuster.
Just yesterday, actor R Madhavan tweeted out to his followers about his thoughts after viewing the film that revolves around an influential period of history where an insurgence caused many Kashmiri Pandits families to flee their homeland – however, they left behind relatives who remained living there and faced gruesome torture; caught between safety and belonging. With lavish performances delivered by actors including Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar among others; The Kashmir Files is slated to release nationwide at 4000 screens starting this weekend.
