This guide will discuss the step-by-step instructions for obtaining a Saudi Police Clearance Certificate. Obtaining one depends on where you are staying in Saudi Arabia: either inside the country or outside it. For those who stay inside, they need to start by finding their local police office and filling out some paperwork; whereas those who leave on a Final Visa need to keep searching until they find an organization that can assist them with this process. The certificate may cost more if there is other work being done at the same time – so make sure to plan ahead!

Steps to get Saudi Police Clearance in Saudi Arabia by a visit
Step 1: Stamping and fingerprint
Pay 50 SAR for attestations of a MOFA Police Clearance Certificate. If you’re traveling to another country, such as one in the United Kingdom then you’ll need to acquire a translation certificate from an approved translator service center which will cost you 30-50 SAR.
Step 2: MOFA Stamping:
After having received the authorization letter from your company, make an appointment with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for attestation. You also don’t have to translate your endorsement letter. Take this Letter of Endorsement to MOFA and bring a copy of both your Iqama as well as a passport when you do so.
Step 3: Obtain a Certificate of Police Clearance.
The officers at the police station made an appointment for me to pick up my Police Clearance certificate. Processing takes time, and so I also need to plan on visiting the police station three days after my appointment date.
Step 4: Drafting an Endorsement/Authorization Letter
To obtain a letter of endorsement/authorization for the police clearance certificate from your Saudi Arabian embassy or consulate, you need to visit/contact the home country’s embassy and request a Letter of Endorsement application. Once completed, attach copies of all documents including your passport, driver’s license etc., pay the charge cost of 100 SAR, and then submit. Make sure to wait two-three weeks before visiting the Embassy where you will go for pick up and collect your endorsed and authorized letter.
Step 5: Pay a visit to the police station
Visit the police station with all your required paperwork (MOFA attested endorsement letter, Iqama, and passport photocopies). Bring an officer from General Recruiting together with you, as well as copies of your fingerprints. Keep checking that information on Ministry of the Interior’s registry so that you can verify if it needs updating.
